Jerusalem: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said that Israel’s economy is now strong enough to function without foreign assistance and expressed his desire to end US financial aid. He also reaffirmed a tough stance on regional security issues, stating that Israeli forces would remain in southern Lebanon until threats from Hezbollah are completely eliminated and long-term stability is ensured.
