Data protection declaration

An access log through our web server has been fully anonymised. But our system does use certain security plugins which protect our website from attack and misuse. Normal, non-damaging website accesses are usually not logged by the plugins. However, as soon as there is the suspicion that our system is subject to an attack, data relating to the visitor’s computer system are automatically logged for forensic purposes and stored in firewall logs. The data stored includes the IP address, the data and time, the browser user agent and the reason for the suspicious activity.

Unless stated otherwise below, the provision of your personal data is neither legally nor contractually obligatory, nor required for conclusion of a contract. You are not obliged to provide your data. Not providing it will have no consequences. This only applies as long as the processing procedures below do not state otherwise.

We process personal data of our users only to the extent necessary to provide a properly operating website and content as well as to provide our services. The processing of personal data of our users is only carried out where a contractual agreement for data processing is in place, where processing of the data is permitted by law or with the consent of the user.

“Personal data” is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person

Legal Basis of Processing in India

In India, both the PDPB (Personal Data Protection Bill) and GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) are seen as viable laws for data regulation and protection. The legal basis for the processing of personal data using technical cookies is Art. 6(1) lit. f GDPR for our European users. However, relevant India law (including IT ACT, 2008) shall be availed in case of our Indian users.

The purpose of using Google Analytics is to analyze, optimize and economically operate this online service. This also constitutes the legitimate interest in data processing pursuant to Art. 6(1) lit. f GDPR.

(*Our legal compliances are covered both under Indian as well as European Laws.)

Description and Scope of Data Processing

Each time the server is accessed, which the service is hosted on, our system automatically collects data and information from the accessing computer system (so-called server log files). The following data is thereby collected:

– Name of the requested file

– Date, time of request

– Quantity of data

– Logging of the success of the request

– Description and type of web browser used

– Operating system of the user

– Requesting domain and its country of origin

– IP address of the user

The data is also stored in the log files of our servers. These data are not stored together with other personal data of the user.

Purpose

The temporary storage of the IP address by the server is necessary to enable the delivery of the website to the user’s computer. For this purpose, the IP address of the user must remain stored for the duration of the session. The data is stored in log files to ensure the functionality of the website. The data is also used to optimize the website and to ensure the security of our information technology systems. A utilization of the data for marketing purposes does not take place.

Data Retention

Personal data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer necessary to achieve the purpose for which it has been collected. In the case of the collection of data for the purpose of providing the website, this happens when the session in question has ended. If the data is stored in log files, it will be deleted after 30 days at the latest. A retention going beyond this is possible. In this case the IP addresses of the users are deleted or pseudonymized, so that an identification of the calling client is no longer possible.

Right to Object

The collection of personal data in order to provide the website and the storage of such data in log files is mandatory for the operation of the website. By using our website, you agree that we may collect and process personal data provided by you. You can revoke this consent at any time with effect for the future by making a corresponding declaration to us. However, we would like to point out that it is no longer possible to use our service without your consent.
