Popular YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, widely known as BeerBiceps, has landed in controversy after making inappropriate remarks on comedian Samay Raina’s reality show India’s Got Latent. His comments during the show sparked outrage across social media, with many calling out the lack of responsibility in digital content creation.
The 31-year-old content creator, known for his motivational videos and podcasts, appeared as a panelist on the show alongside YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani, comedian Jaspreet Singh, and content creator Apoorva Mukhija, popularly known as The Rebel Kid. However, in an attempt to match the show’s signature dark humor, Allahbadia made controversial statements that did not sit well with the audience.
During one of the segments, he asked a contestant an inappropriate question: “Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join in once and stop it forever?” He further inquired about the contestant’s genital size, leaving even host Samay Raina visibly shocked. Raina, who is known for pushing boundaries with dark humor, reacted with, “What the f**?”* and later questioned, “Kya ho gaya hai Ranveer bhai ko? [What has happened to Ranveer?]”
The incident quickly gained traction online, drawing criticism from netizens and public figures alike. Journalist and storyteller Neelesh Misra condemned the show, calling out “perverted creators” for shaping India’s creative economy irresponsibly.
“This content is not designated as adult content – it can be seen with ease even by a child if the algorithm takes him or her there. The creators or the platform have zero sense of responsibility,” Misra wrote on X (formerly Twitter). He further criticized the audience for normalizing such behavior, saying, “Decency is not incentivized in India—by platforms or audiences—and creators are stooping lower and lower for reach and revenue.”
Social media users also expressed their discontent. “Nowadays, comedy has been reduced to abuses, vulgarity, and unnecessary mocking. Jaspal Bhatti, Johnny Lever, and Raju Srivastava’s type of humor is missing,” commented one user. Another added, “Imagine the Indian celebrities, business czars & politicians who invite or do podcasts with men like BeerBiceps and Samay Raina. If vulgarity & obscenity had any limit, such men annihilated it.”
The controversy has reignited debates around the ethics of online content creation and the influence of digital personalities on young audiences. Many are now calling for stricter content regulations and greater accountability from platforms hosting such content.
