‘I live off my father’s money’: Aayush Sharma had told brother-in-law Salman Khan

Ayush Sharma, who is wed to Arpita Khan, Salman Khan’s sister, recently talked about how he first met Salman and acknowledged that he wasn’t making any money, but he still asked Salman if he could marry his sister. Salman was surprised by this conversation at first, but he quickly agreed. During a conversation on Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa’s YouTube channel, Aayush revealed that he had met Salman at Galaxy Apartments after a few months of dating Arpita.

When Arpita invited him up for a movie and dinner late one night, Aayush said he was dropping her off at home. At first, Aayush was hesitant, but Arpita asked him to unwind. They were eating and watching TV at one in the morning when Salman Khan arrived. I stood behind him as he entered the house. And Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya was all that was on my mind. When he turned around, I said, “Hello, sir. My name is Aayush Sharma.” He exclaimed, “I’m Salman Khan,” after being startled as well. And I left after this,” he recalled.

Aayush said that he got a call from Arpita the next day saying that Salman wants to meet him. When Salman asked him about his life, Aayush confessed that he wanted to be an actor. Upon hearing this, Salman said, “Tumko acting aati nahi hai (You don’t know how to act). I wondered how he knew. He said you will have to get the correct training and you can be an actor.”

When Salman asked him about his future, Aayush said that he wants to marry Arpita, even though he was just 24 at the time. “Salman asked me about my earnings. I said I make nothing. My father sends me money and I am living off that. I said, yes there is money in the house but I don’t earn. He looked and Arpita and said ‘this guy is too honest’. He immediately said, ‘I like this boy, shaadi pakki’,” he recalled.
