On Friday, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi attended the wedding of the daughter of senior advocate R.S. Cheema in the vicinity of Chandigarh. Gandhi arrived in Chandigarh in the afternoon, where he was warmly received by the state unit president of the Congress, Harmohinder Singh Lucky.

Accompanied by Lucky, Gandhi then made his way to the wedding venue, located on the outskirts of the city in Mohali, Punjab. Lucky clarified that the event was the wedding of R.S. Cheema’s daughter, a senior criminal lawyer and former advocate general of Punjab, who has also represented Gandhi in legal matters. After attending the wedding, Rahul Gandhi returned to Delhi.

The wedding was also attended by several prominent political figures, including former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and senior Punjab Congress leader Partap Singh Bajwa.
