Union Minister Athawale Files Complaint Against Rahul Gandhi’s Allegations of Constitution Change

Union Minister of State for Social Justice, Ramdas Athawale, a prominent Dalit leader and ally of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has lodged a formal complaint with the Election Commission regarding Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s repeated assertions that the BJP intends to alter the Constitution of India.

In a statement to the press on Wednesday, Athawale emphasized that Gandhi’s assertions about the BJP’s purported intentions to amend the Constitution are unfounded. He highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s repeated denials of such claims.

“I have filed a complaint with the Election Commission against Gandhi’s frequent claims. He should be prohibited from saying it, and there should be some action against him,” stated Athawale, who also serves as the chief of the Republican Party of India (A).

Gandhi’s remarks, according to Athawale, are misleading and baseless, and they could potentially misinform the public about the BJP’s agenda. He urged the Election Commission to take appropriate action to prevent Gandhi from making further such claims.
