Bengaluru South MP and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Tejasvi Surya married renowned Carnatic vocalist Sivasri Skandaprasad in a traditional ceremony in Bengaluru. The wedding, attended by close family, friends, and select political associates, was marked by its cultural richness and elegance.
The first pictures of the couple surfaced on social media, capturing the groom in a classic white and gold ensemble, while the bride radiated elegance in a yellow Kanchipuram silk saree adorned with traditional gold jewellery. Another set of photographs showcased Skandaprasad in a deep red-maroon saree, with Surya donning an off-white outfit.
Several prominent political leaders attended the wedding, including BJP leaders K. Annamalai, Pratap Simha, Amit Malaviya, BY Vijayendra, and Union Minister V Somanna. The ceremony reflected the couple’s commitment to tradition while celebrating their new journey together.
Sivasri Skandaprasad is a distinguished artist known for her expertise in Carnatic music, Bharatanatyam, and visual arts, seamlessly blending traditional and contemporary styles. She trained in Carnatic music under Guru AS Murali and has performed at prestigious venues such as Brahma Gana Sabha and Kartik Fine Arts. Her artistic journey extends beyond India, as she has participated in cultural exchange programs in Denmark and South Korea.
Apart from her artistic pursuits, Skandaprasad has an impressive academic background. She holds a degree in bioengineering from SASTRA University and a master’s degree in Bharatanatyam from the University of Madras.
