Actress Shweta Tiwari has addressed ongoing rumours about her daughter, Palak Tiwari, allegedly dating Ibrahim Ali Khan. Speaking in a recent interview, Shweta revealed that such speculation no longer bothers her, attributing it to the fleeting nature of social media chatter.
“Rumours don’t bother me anymore. Over the years, I’ve realized people’s memory lasts only about four hours. They’ll forget the news after that, so why bother?” Shweta told SCREEN. She humorously added, “As per rumours, my daughter is dating every third guy, and I’m getting married every year. According to the internet, I’ve been married three times already! These things don’t affect me now. Earlier, before social media, negativity from journalists used to bother me. But now, I’ve learned to ignore it.”
Dating rumours between Palak Tiwari and Ibrahim Ali Khan first surfaced in 2022 when the two were spotted together by paparazzi. Subsequent appearances, including one at a Mumbai concert, fueled further speculation about their relationship status.
However, Palak has consistently denied the rumours, clarifying that they are just good friends. Speaking in an earlier interview with Siddharth Kannan, the Bijlee Bijlee fame said, “We were just out and got papped. That’s all there is to it. We were with a group of people, but it was framed as if it was just us. People liked that narrative, but we are simply nice friends. He’s a sweet guy, and we talk sometimes, but that’s all.”
On the professional front, Palak Tiwari was last seen in Salman Khan’s Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. Ibrahim Ali Khan, meanwhile, is reportedly gearing up for his Bollywood debut.
Despite the buzz, it seems both Palak and Shweta remain unfazed, viewing the rumours as an inevitable part of being in the public eye.
