Shraddha Kapoor, known for her string of successful films, has yet to share the screen with Bollywood’s legendary Khans—Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, or Aamir Khan. In a recent interview, Shraddha opened up about this, revealing that while she has been offered films alongside the Khans in the past, she hasn’t taken up those opportunities due to various reasons.
During a podcast with Shubhankar Mishra, as reported by IANS, Shraddha explained her decision-making process when it comes to selecting roles. “Many times you are offered a film, but if you feel the character isn’t exciting enough or the role doesn’t challenge the artiste in you, then you let go of that role. I’m very clear about the kind of work that I choose,” she said. Shraddha emphasized that her priority is to be part of good films with compelling stories, working with talented directors. “If the by-product of all of this is the opportunity to work with good actors or huge stars, I’m happy to say yes to it,” she added.
On the professional front, Shraddha Kapoor is currently basking in the success of her latest film, Stree 2. The horror-comedy, also starring Rajkummar Rao, Aparshakti Khurana, Abhishek Banerjee, and Pankaj Tripathi, hit theaters on August 15 and has received a positive response from audiences. Directed by Amar Kaushik, Stree 2 is a sequel to the 2018 hit Stree, with Shraddha and Rajkummar reprising their roles. The film continues the spooky narrative in the town of Chanderi, now facing a new supernatural threat named Sarkata, and once again, the townspeople seek help from Stree.
Adding to the film’s allure, Stree 2 features surprise cameos, including Varun Dhawan as Bhediya, who shares a special song with Shraddha Kapoor. Despite facing competition at the box office from Akshay Kumar and Taapsee Pannu’s Khel Khel Mein and John Abraham’s Vedaa, Stree 2 has managed to captivate audiences.
According to Sacnilk, Stree 2 has collected an estimated ₹254.55 crore (net) as of Day 6, positioning the film to potentially surpass the lifetime box office collection of Kalki 2898 AD’s Hindi version. Stree 2 is expected to break that record by the upcoming weekend, further solidifying Shraddha Kapoor’s success in the industry.
