Famous YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, also known as BeerBiceps, recently revealed that he had a near-drowning experience while swimming in Goa, requiring rescue by an IPS officer and his IRS wife. The podcast host shared the harrowing incident on Instagram on Christmas Day. Ranveer explained that he and his girlfriend were swimming in the open sea when they were both caught by a powerful underwater current.
“We’re perfectly fine now, but yesterday around 6:00 pm, my girlfriend and I found ourselves in a dangerous situation and had to be rescued,” Ranveer wrote in his post. He shared that he has always loved swimming in the open ocean and had been doing so since childhood, but on December 24, the pair were unexpectedly swept away by the current.
Ranveer described struggling for five to ten minutes as he began to lose consciousness before he called out for help. Fortunately, a family swimming nearby noticed their distress and rushed to their aid.
“A fun, casual dip in the waves quickly turned into a life-threatening situation when an underwater current flipped us over. The next thing we knew, we were both struggling to stay above water,” the YouTuber recounted. He expressed his relief at the timely intervention of the nearby family, who helped bring them to safety.
