    Mumbai Woman Hit By Boulder In Manali, Dies


    A woman tourist from Mumbai was killed, and two others, including her husband, were injured when their vehicle was hit by boulders at 4 Mile near Mandi on Sunday.

    The woman, identified as 28-year-old Priya, died instantly. Her husband and the taxi driver were taken to the government hospital in Mandi for treatment.

    According to a police officer, the couple was returning from Manali. The area from Mandi to Pandoh is known for frequent landslides and rockfalls, making it a high-risk zone, and such incidents often result in casualties.

    There has been a massive influx of tourists in Himachal who have come to enjoy the snowfall and there have been several instances of tourists getting stuck in snow and skidding of vehicles. At least 8,000 tourists were rescued last Monday who had travelled beyond Manali and had gotten stuck in snow.
