Lok Sabha MP Kunwar Danish Ali Claims Receiving Threatening Call, Files Complaint

Lok Sabha MP Kunwar Danish Ali, representing the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), has filed a complaint alleging he received a threatening call at his office in central Delhi on Tuesday. The complaint was lodged at the Tilak Marg police station following repeated calls from an unidentified individual.

According to the complaint, the calls were made to Ali’s office number multiple times between 8 pm to 8.30 pm on Tuesday. The caller, who remains unidentified, allegedly used abusive language and threatened Ali upon confirming his identity with Ali’s personal secretary. Additionally, a call from the same number was reportedly received on Ali’s personal mobile phone, which he did not answer as he was in a meeting at the time.

Expressing his dismay over the incident, Ali took to social media platform X to share his ordeal in a Hindi post. He expressed frustration at the attempt to intimidate him, questioning the motives behind such actions. Ali emphasized his commitment to Indian democracy and condemned the actions of those resorting to threats and intimidation.

Ali’s recent suspension by the BSP for alleged anti-party activities adds a layer of complexity to the situation. However, it remains unclear if the threatening call is related to his suspension or other factors.

The Tilak Marg police station has acknowledged receiving the complaint and is expected to initiate an investigation into the matter.
