Aamir Khan confirmed on Thursday that he is dating his longtime friend, Gauri Spratt. He made the revelation during his 60th birthday celebration in Mumbai, sharing that they’ve been together for a year, although they’ve known each other for over 25 years.

Spratt, who lives in Bengaluru, is currently working under Khan’s production banner. The actor also shared that they are living together, and that Gauri, who has a six-year-old son, has met his family, who are supportive of their relationship. Aamir expressed that he is both committed and happy in the relationship. He also mentioned that Gauri has only watched a few of his films, including Lagaan and Dangal.

Aamir recalled how Gauri once told him she didn’t believe in the ‘superstar’ label often associated with him and is still getting used to the ‘Bollywood madness.’

On Wednesday, Aamir hosted a birthday dinner, inviting his friends and fellow actors Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan. Gauri also met the two Khans at the same event.

Gauri Spratt is of mixed heritage, being half Tamilian and half Irish, and her grandfather was a freedom fighter.

Aamir Khan and filmmaker Kiran Rao announced their divorce in July 2021, and they share a son, Azad Rao Khan. Prior to that, Aamir was married to Reena Dutta, with whom he has two children, daughter Ira Khan and son Junaid Khan.
