IPL Player To Be Questioned By Police In Model’s Suicide Case In Surat

Police have revealed a potential link to Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket player Abhishek Sharma, which has taken an unexpected turn in the investigation into the tragic death of 28-year-old model Tanya Singh, who was found hanging in her Surat home. The authorities are having trouble tracking down leads in the enigmatic case two days after the incident.
Preliminary investigations, according to Assistant Commissioner of Police VR Malhotra, suggest a friendship between Tanya Singh and Abhishek Sharma, the all-round player for Sunrisers Hyderabad, on Wednesday. The deceased model sent Sharma a message on WhatsApp, but it was not replied to, according to what the police discovered.

“We have so far learnt that Abhishek Sharma was in friendship with the deceased model. More details will be known in the investigation,” said ACP Malhotra during a press briefing.

Although they haven’t spoken to Abhishek Sharma yet, the police intend to send him a notice requesting more information. The nature of their friendship and the circumstances surrounding the unanswered message continue to be crucial aspects of the ongoing investigation.

Abhishek Sharma reportedly blocked her phone number and stopped answering her messages on social media, according to a news report published in a national daily.

Abhishek Sharma is an all-rounder who plays for IPL team Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Tanya Singh’s father, Bhanwar Singh, went to wake her up on Monday morning and found her body there. The 28-year-old model and fashion designer, who lived with her parents, had a good fan following on social media.
