The 79th Independence Day is being celebrated with great pomp across the country including Chandigarh today. Meanwhile, all government and private schools in Chandigarh have been declared closed on 18 August 2025. The administration has given this holiday keeping in mind the convenience of the students and the functioning of the schools.
