Maneka Gandhi, BJP Member of Parliament, has expressed her contentment with the party’s decision to allocate her a party ticket as she embarked on a 10-day visit to Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh. This visit follows her recent nomination as the BJP candidate for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Addressing her involvement in the BJP, Maneka Gandhi conveyed her gratitude to key party figures including Amit Shah, Prime Minister Modi, and Nadda Ji for entrusting her with the ticket. She articulated her joy at being part of the BJP fold, stating, “I am very happy that I am in the BJP.”
Maneka Gandhi’s visit to Sultanpur holds particular significance, marking her first return to the constituency after being announced as the party’s candidate. During her extensive tour spanning 10 days, she is slated to visit 101 villages across the entire Lok Sabha constituency.
The BJP leader received a warm reception from party leaders and workers at various locales including Katka Guptarganj, Tatianagar, Tedhui, Golaghat, Shahganj Square, Dariyapur Tiraha, and Payagipur Square, underscoring the enthusiasm surrounding her candidacy.
Further adding depth to her visit, Maneka Gandhi paid respects to the statues of prominent leaders Shyama Prasad Mukherjee and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, embodying the ideological ethos of the BJP.
Accompanying her on this visit were several prominent BJP figures including BJP District President Dr. RA Verma, BJP State Minister Meena Choubey, and MLA Raj Prasad Upadhyay, among others. This visit comes amidst a backdrop of political dynamics, including Varun Gandhi’s recent denial of a ticket from his constituency, Pilibhit.
