A 28-yr-old man passed away in a Hyderabad clininc last week while getting a surgery done to improve his smile in preparation for his wedding.
The deceased Laxmi Narayana Vinjam passed away on February 16 at the FMS International Dental Clinic in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, during the “smile designing” procedure, according to the statement.

As part of the procedure, anesthesia was administered after which he fell unconscious. The victim was then shifted to Apollo Hospitals where he was declared dead.
According to Laxmi Narayana Vinjam’s father, he died of anesthesia overdose.
According to the victim’s father Ramulu Vinjam, the staff called him and asked him to come to the clinic after his son passed out during the procedure. “We rushed him to a nearby hospital, where the doctors declared him brought dead on arrival,” he continued.

He said that his son had not informed them of the surgery. He had no health issues, the doctors are responsible for his death,” the victim’s father said.

A case has been filed against the clinic for negligence after his family filed a complaint. “We are checking the hospital records and security camera footage,” officials said.
