Popular actor Govinda was hospitalized this morning after sustaining a bullet injury to his leg at his home in Mumbai. According to police, the 60-year-old actor, who is also a Shiv Sena leader, was alone at his Juhu residence when the incident occurred around 4:45 am. His wife, Sunita Ahuja, was in Kolkata at the time.

The injury resulted from a misfire of his licensed revolver, which reportedly fell while being stored in a cupboard. Fortunately, Govinda is now out of danger and doing well, as confirmed by his manager. He was quickly taken to Criticare Hospital nearby for treatment and has since returned home.

The actor’s manager mentioned that they were scheduled to catch a 6 am flight for a show in Kolkata, and Govinda was just about to leave for the airport when the accident happened. “It’s truly a blessing that the injury was not more serious,” the manager added. No complaint has been filed with the police regarding the incident.
