Renowned actor and Shiv Sena leader Govinda has spoken out for the first time following an accidental shooting that left him with a leg injury. The beloved star is currently recuperating in a critical care hospital in Mumbai after accidentally shooting himself early in the morning. The incident occurred around 4:45 AM as Govinda was handling his licensed revolver before a scheduled trip to Kolkata.
In a heartfelt voice note recorded from his hospital bed, Govinda assured his fans that he is recovering well. His voice, slightly slurred—likely due to medication or anesthesia—conveyed his gratitude to his supporters and the medical staff who have been caring for him during this difficult time.
In his message, Govinda said, “Namaskar, pranaam, main hoon Govinda, aap sab logon ke aashirwad aur maa-baap ka aashirwad, guru ki kripa ke wajah se goli lagi thi par woh nikaal di gayi hai. Main dhanyavad deta hoon yahan ke doctor ka, aadarniya doctor Agarwal ji ka aur aap sab logon ki prarthana jo hai, aap logon ka dhanyavad, pranaam” (I am Govinda. Thanks to your blessings, my parents’ blessings, and the grace of my guru, I was shot, but the bullet has been taken out. I thank the doctors here, especially Dr. Agarwal, and I appreciate all your prayers).
Govinda’s manager, Shashi Sinha, earlier confirmed the details of the incident to ANI, explaining, “Govinda was getting ready to leave for Kolkata when his revolver accidentally slipped from his hand while being placed in its case. A bullet was discharged and hit his leg. The doctors have successfully removed the bullet, and his condition is stable. He is under observation in the hospital.”
Fans across the country were relieved to hear the actor’s voice and are eagerly awaiting more updates on his health. Govinda’s message of thanks and positivity has brought comfort to many, and his supporters are sending prayers and well-wishes for his speedy recovery.
