Flight Horror On Singapore Airlines: Three Indians Among Other Passengers Struck By Turbulence

The Singaporeย Airlinesย said on Tuesday that a severe turbulence over the Indian Ocean caused a Singapore Airlines flight to descend 1,800 meters in three minutes. A 73-year-old man from Britain passed away, most likely from a heart attack, following a violent shake from turbulence.

211 passengers and 18 crew members were traveling from London’s Heathrow Airport to Singapore on a Boeing 777. The airline did not tell aboutย the conditions of the three passengers who were said to be from India.

The flight was diverted and it made a landing in Bangkok as a result of the turbulence and stormy weather. Authorities stated that several, if not all, of the passengers suffered injuries.

Fifty-six passengers from Australia, 2 from Canada, 1 from Germany, 3 from India, 2 from Indonesia, 1 from Iceland, 4 from Ireland, 1 from Israel, 16 from Malaysia, 2 from Myanmar, 23 from New Zealand, 5 from the Philippines, 41 from Singapore, 1 from South Korea, 2 from Spain, 47 from the United Kingdom, and 4 from the United States of America are said to be among the passengers’ nationalities, according to the carrier.
