Prime Minister Narendra Modi will present the party’s platform to all BJP cadres during a two-day branstorming session beginning on Saturday, ahead of the 18th General Election.
Up to 11,500 delegates have reached the nation’s capital on Friday in order to attend the BJP National Council meeting that will take place throughout the weekend.
In the meantime, BJP leader JP Nadda inaugurated a “Viksit Bharat” exhibition on Friday at Bharat Mandapam, the location of the party’s two-day National Council meeting.
Two resolutions will be passed by the council, one of which is political and calls for the BJP to gain more than 370 seats.
Senior BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad described the two-day National Conclave of the BJP as “an impactful meeting, which will lay the map for the achievement of the two targets PM Modi has set — 370 for the BJP and 400 for the NDA.” Every year before the Lok Sabha election, the BJP traditionally hosts a National Council meeting, the highlight of which is usually PM Modi’s speech.
All national office-bearers, ministers, state and district office-bearers, mayors, and deputy mayors make up the National Council, in addition to the BJP’s renowned “vistaraks,” full-time party employees who obtain unbiased input on the political landscape from a parliamentary segment.
JP Nadda, the president of the BJP, will give the opening speech and PM Modi will deliver the valedictory address on the concluding day on February 18.
