A BJP leader, Yasin Khan, tragically lost his life after being brutally attacked by a group of men in Rajasthan’s Alwar district. The attackers, who had a longstanding dispute with Yasin’s family, assaulted him with an axe and used iron rods and sticks to break his hands, legs, and back, according to police reports on Friday.
The violent incident occurred on Thursday evening as Yasin Khan, accompanied by BJP leader Parminder Sharma and advocate Jitendra Sharma, was returning to Alwar from Jaipur after completing some work. Their car was intercepted by armed assailants near Vijaypur village. Superintendent of Police Anand Sharma detailed the horrifying attack, stating, “The attackers struck Yasin with an axe and broke his hands, legs, and back with iron rods and sticks. They fled the scene, leaving Yasin severely injured.”
The companions of Yasin Khan immediately informed the police about the attack and rushed him to Jaipur for medical treatment. Despite their efforts, Yasin succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment at Sawai Man Singh (SMS) Hospital in Jaipur.
SP Anand Sharma confirmed that both the deceased and the suspects were residents of Alwar district. He assured that the police, in collaboration with the Jaipur police team, are actively investigating the case. “The suspects will be arrested soon, and police teams are vigorously pursuing them. Five individuals are named in the FIR, and complaints have been filed against other persons by Yasin’s family,” Sharma added.
Yasin Khan, who had been involved in the transport business, had a long association with the BJP, spanning over 20 years. The attack on Yasin Khan is not an isolated incident in the family; earlier in 2023, his nephew was also attacked, suffering severe injuries, including broken hands and legs.
The brutal killing of Yasin Khan has sent shockwaves through the local community and the BJP, highlighting the severity of familial disputes and the need for robust law enforcement to prevent such tragedies. The police are under pressure to quickly apprehend the suspects and bring them to justice, as the community mourns the loss of a long-time party member and businessman.
