Assam Chief Minister Makes Fun Of Rahul Gandhi, Says He Looks Anything From Saddam Hussein To An Amul Baby

Himanta Biswa Sarma, the chief minister of Assam, poked fun at Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the Congress, for altering his appearance, saying that Gandhi follows his advice and shaves off or grows a beard as per his wrods.

The chief minister of Assam stated in an interview to a TV channel that the Congress leader shaved off shortly after he made a joke on Rahul Gandhi’s long beard during the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ in 2022, drawing comparisons between his appearance and that of the former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein. Himanta Biswa Sarma, in yet another jab at his erstwhile party colleague, asserted that Rahul Gandhi’s clean-shaven appearance was reminiscent of a “Amul boy.”

Interestingly, Rahul Gandhi chopped off his beard the moment I suggested he looked like Saddam Hussein. And when I mentioned that he resembled the Amul Boy, he shaved off his facial hair and grew a light beard. The chief minister of Assam asserted in the interview that Rahul Gandhi “does listen to my advice.”

He also made fun of the Congress leader, claiming that Rahul Gandhi believes T-shirts are a big deal. “It’s unfortunate for the country to have an opposition which is led by an individual who emphasises wearing a T-shirt,” Sarma stated.

The BJP leader went on to criticize the Wayanad MP, saying that the book about the Indian Constitution that he frequently shows off at his public gatherings is not the actual one. Sarma stated that it was necessary to confirm if Rahul Gandhi was carrying a Chinese constitution because the Indian Constitution has a blue cover.

If the Indian Constitution is represented by the Lal Kitab that Rahul Gandhi displays during his rallies, then why is the Congress opposed to the UCC? The UCC should be implemented, according to Baba Saheb’s Constitution, yet the Congress manifesto promises to introduce Sharia law. Thus, I don’t think that book is our Constitution,” he remarked.

Sarma also emphasised that the Narendra Modi-led NDA would take on a number of projects, including constructing the Krishna Janmbhoomi temple in Mathura and the Kashi Vishwanath temple in Varanasi in place of the Gyanvapi Mosque; enacting the Uniform Civic Code (UCC) throughout the nation; and, should the BJP-led NDA win 400 seats in the Lok Sabha elections, elevating India’s economy to the third rank in the world would be one of its endeavours.
