Bollywood’s “Mr. Perfectionist” Aamir Khan has found love with someone who didn’t need to binge-watch his blockbuster films to fall for him! His girlfriend, Gauri Spratt, recently shared what truly drew her to the superstar—and surprisingly, it wasn’t his cinematic legacy. In fact, Gauri isn’t much of a Bollywood enthusiast and has only seen two of Aamir’s films.
Introducing Gauri to the media at his pre-birthday celebration, Aamir opened up about their relationship, revealing a story that feels straight out of a Bollywood script—minus the dramatic twists. The two first met 25 years ago but lost touch, only to reconnect two years ago. “I was looking for someone who brings me calmness and peace. And there she was,” Aamir shared.
Gauri, in turn, described what she sought in a partner and why she was drawn to Aamir. “I wanted someone who is kind, a gentleman, and caring,” she said, prompting Aamir to playfully respond, “And after all that, you found me?”
Not being an avid follower of Bollywood, Gauri admitted she hadn’t watched many of Aamir’s films. When asked about his work, she confessed to having seen Dil Chahta Hai and Lagaan, but years ago. Aamir explained, “She grew up in Bangalore with exposure to different kinds of films and arts, so Hindi cinema wasn’t a big part of her life. She hasn’t seen much of my work either.”
Interestingly, both agreed that Gauri’s unfamiliarity with Aamir’s stardom has been beneficial to their relationship. “She doesn’t see me as a superstar, just as a partner,” Aamir noted. However, there is one film he hopes she will watch—Taare Zameen Par! With the movie set for a re-release as part of his Cinema Ka Jadugar festival, Aamir hinted they might catch it together on the big screen.
Gauri Spratt may not be a Bollywood buff, but she has an interesting journey of her own. Originally from Bangalore, she is the daughter of Rita Spratt, who owned a salon in the city. Now based in Mumbai, Gauri has established herself in the beauty industry, currently running a BBlunt salon, as per her LinkedIn profile.
She is also a mother to a six-year-old child and, despite knowing Aamir for over two decades, their romance officially began just 18 months ago.
