A woman’s body was discovered this morning in a suitcase left in a residential area near the IT Corridor in Thoraipakkam, Chennai, according to police. Authorities suspect that she was murdered elsewhere before the suitcase was dumped in the location.

“We have been investigating since early morning. It appears the crime occurred at a different site, and the body was discarded here,” a police officer stated.

The victim’s identity has yet to be determined, and police are working to apprehend the suspect. This incident occurs amid ongoing opposition criticism regarding rising crime rates, a claim that the ruling DMK has denied.
