Vikas Sethi, a popular TV actor known for his roles in iconic 2000s shows like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kahiin To Hoga, and Kasautii Zindagi Kay, tragically passed away on Sunday at the age of 48. He is survived by his wife, Jhanvi Sethi, and their twin sons, born in 2021.
Vikas Sethi’s wife, Jhanvi, spoke to PTI about her husband’s sudden passing. The couple had been in Nashik for a family event when Vikas began feeling unwell, experiencing vomiting and diarrhea. Despite his reluctance to go to the hospital, a doctor was called to their residence. Jhanvi revealed, “When I went to wake him up at around 6 am on Sunday, he was no more. The doctor informed us that he had passed away in his sleep due to a cardiac arrest.”
Vikas’ body has been sent to Cooper Hospital in Mumbai for a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.
The actor was best known for playing Swayam Shergill in Kahiin To Hoga and Prem Basu in Kasautii Zindagi Kay. His performances in these iconic roles left a lasting impression on viewers, cementing his place in Indian television history.
In 2021, Vikas shared a personal update with his fans on social media after undergoing leg surgery. He expressed his determination to recover swiftly and stay in shape, with hopes of returning to work and staying active with his friends and followers.
On the personal front, Vikas was previously married to Amita, a cabin crew member. The couple participated in the dance reality show Nach Baliye before parting ways. In 2017, he met Jhanvi through mutual friends, and the couple went on to build a life together, welcoming their twin sons in 2021.
