US Authorities Begin Mass Crackdown on Illegal Migrants Under Trump Administration

The United States has launched a sweeping crackdown on illegal migrants just days into President Donald Trump’s presidency. In a major operation, authorities have arrested 538 individuals and deported hundreds in what the administration is calling the “largest deportation operation in history.”

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt announced the figures in an online post, highlighting the operation’s focus on individuals with criminal records. “The Trump Administration arrested 538 illegal immigrant criminals, including a suspected terrorist, four members of the Tren de Aragua gang, and several individuals convicted of sex crimes against minors,” Leavitt stated.

Leavitt further revealed that many of the deportations were carried out using military aircraft. “Promises made. Promises kept,” she added, referring to President Trump’s campaign pledges to strengthen immigration enforcement.

The White House also released details of some of those arrested, outlining crimes such as rape, sexual conduct against a child, and the continuous sexual abuse of minors aged 14 or younger.

The operation follows President Trump’s recent executive order, titled “Protecting the American People Against Invasion,” which emphasizes the administration’s commitment to addressing illegal immigration. The order describes the past four years as a period of “unprecedented illegal immigration,” with millions crossing the U.S. border or entering through commercial flights.

The order also alleges that many of these individuals pose significant risks to public safety and national security, accusing them of committing “vile and heinous acts” against American citizens.

The crackdown signals a stark shift in immigration policy under the new administration, drawing both praise and criticism from various quarters. Immigration advocates have raised concerns about the expedited deportations, while Trump supporters have lauded the move as a step toward fulfilling campaign promises.
