Union Minister Anurag Thakur Clarifies No Proposal for Cabinet Ministers’ Visit to Ayodhya’s Ram Temple

In a press briefing on Wednesday, Union Minister Anurag Thakur dismissed speculation about Union ministers planning a visit to Ayodhya’s Ram temple, stating that there is currently no proposal for the cabinet members to pay obeisance at the revered site. Thakur’s comments came in response to inquiries about whether the entire cabinet would follow suit after several BJP-ruled states had organized visits to the newly consecrated Ram temple.

“As of now, there is no proposal by the cabinet that the cabinet ministers will go there,” Thakur clarified during the media interaction. He emphasized that any decision regarding official visits to the temple had not been finalized at this point.

During the briefing, Minister Thakur recommended that individuals interested in visiting the temple town adhere to the decisions and advisories issued by the Uttar Pradesh government, considering the expected high footfall. He urged people to stay informed about the guidelines in place to ensure a smooth and organized experience for all visitors.

The clarification from the Union Minister comes after approximately five lakh devotees flocked to the Ram temple complex on its opening day, following the consecration ceremony held a day earlier.
