Udhav Camp Leader’s Son Shot Dead During Facebook Live In Mumbai

Abhishek Ghosalkar, the son of a Shiv Sena UBT leader, was shot dead while doing a Facebook live with another man. The assailant, Mauris Noronha, a local social activist, then aimed the gun at himself. Facebook Live captured the gunshot during the event. Both Ghosalkar and his assailant are dead.

Ghosalkar was the son of former Shiv Sena councillor Vinod Ghosalkar, who belonged to the Uddhav Thackeray faction.

It appears that the attack happened at Mauris Noronha’s, also called Mauris Bhai, office, where Ghosalkar had gone. Abhishek, himself a former corporator, was rushed to the hospital.

A video of the incident also went viral on social media following the incident. The video is said to be of a Facebook Live where a man and Abhishek Ghosalkar can be seen sitting together and telling people their plans for the betterment of the locals in the area. Moments later, several shots can be seen being fired at Abhishek Ghosalkar.

According to an official, Ghosalkar and Noronha had “personal enmity,” but the purpose of the Facebook live was to make it clear that they have reconciled and are no longer bitter toward each other for the benefit of the IC Colony neighborhood in Borivli, a news agency reported on Thursday.

The incident happened a few days after a BJP MLA was seen on camera shooting at a leader of the Eknath Shinde faction inside Ulhasnagar police station.
