There will be a 3.5% tax on sending money earned in the US to India. Earlier, a 5% tax was proposed. The US House of Representatives passed the ‘One Big, Beautiful Bill Act’ on May 22. This bill has a provision to impose tax on money sent to their country by foreign workers.
