The Supreme Court on Tuesday reprimanded the Prayagraj Development Authority for demolishing houses. The court termed the bulldozer action of the officials as inhuman and illegal. It also said that during this action taken in 2021, the feelings and rights of others were not taken into consideration. The Supreme Court ordered the Prayagraj Development Authority to give compensation of Rs 10 lakh each to those whose houses have been demolished within 6 weeks.
