A young MLA from Telangana, Lasya Nandita, was killed in a tragic road accident in Hyderabad today . The 37-year-old, a rookie member of the legislature, sustained severe injuries when her car lost control and struck the road divider.
Following the accident, Lasya Nandita was taken to the hospital right away, where she eventually passed away. According to reports, the driver who was involved in the collision is critically hurt and is being treated right now.

Ten days ago, Lasya had managed to escape another mishap in Narkatpally, where she had suffered only minor injuries. Her home guard was killed in the accident on February 13, while she was traveling to Nalgonda to attend a rally by the Chief Minister.

Well known in political circles, Lasya Nandita was born in Hyderabad in 1986, entering politics about ten years ago. Prior to winning an assembly seat from Secunderabad Cantonment in 2023, she worked as a corporator in the Kavadiguda ward.

Following the passing of her father G Sayanna last year, Lasya was entrusted the responsibilty of continuing his legacy. She received a nomination as the party’s candidate and won the election in November 2023.
