The Supreme Court today, on August 5, 2025, cancelled the bail of former director and promoter of Dewan Housing Finance Limited (DHFL), Dheeraj Wadhawan. This decision has been taken in the case of a major bank loan scam, in which Dheeraj Wadhawan is accused of a scam of Rs 42,871.42 crore. The court has ordered him to surrender within two weeks.
