Suchitra Pillai Discloses: Preity Zinta Was Previously Linked to Lars Kjeldsen, Recounts Being Labeled ‘Boyfriend Snatcher’

In a recent revelation, actress Suchitra Pillai addressed long-standing rumors regarding her personal life, notably her connection to actress Preity Zinta and husband Lars Kjeldsen. Pillai, renowned for her role in the iconic film “Dil Chahta Hai,” clarified misconceptions surrounding her relationship with Kjeldsen and Zinta.

Contrary to speculation, Pillai asserted that she did not interfere in Kjeldsen’s previous relationship with Preity Zinta. She emphasized that their association was not a catalyst for Zinta’s past breakup, affirming that they split due to unrelated reasons. Pillai candidly addressed tabloid headlines labeling her as a “boyfriend snatcher,” attributing them to her relationship with Andrew Coyne, who was involved with model Achala Sachdev at the time.

Pillai, who tied the knot with Lars Kjeldsen in 2005 and shares a daughter named Annika, dismissed lingering controversies surrounding her past romantic entanglements. She emphasized that time had dissolved any misunderstandings, highlighting her amicable relationship with Sachdev as evidence.

Meanwhile, Preity Zinta, renowned for her versatile performances, has embarked on a new cinematic journey with the upcoming film “Lahore 1947.” Sharing glimpses from the set on her Instagram account, Zinta expressed her excitement about returning to the silver screen after a hiatus. The film, produced by Aamir Khan, reunites Zinta with co-star Sunny Deol, marking their collaboration on several successful projects in the past.

Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi, “Lahore 1947” boasts a stellar ensemble cast, including veteran actress Shabana Azmi. Santoshi revealed that Azmi’s character holds significant importance in the narrative, adding depth to the period drama. Furthermore, the film features musical maestro AR Rahman and esteemed lyricist Javed Akhtar, forming what Santoshi describes as his “dream team.”
