The Supreme Court’s temporary bail granted to Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal was referred to as “special treatment” by Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
“I think this is not a routine judgment,” Amit Shah stated in an interview with a news agency. Many people in this nation think that they have received preferential treatment.”
On May 10, Arvind Kejriwal—who had been detained and imprisoned in Tihar Jail in relation to the Delhi liquor policy case—was set free following the Supreme Court’s approval of his request for temporary bail.
In response to Kejriwal’s claim that he wouldn’t have to go back to prison if the Opposition INDIA bloc wins a majority in the Lok Sabha elections on June 4, Amit Shah also commented.
Amit Shah declared, “I think this is clear contempt of the Supreme Court,” in response to the AAP chief’s remarks. He is attempting to convey that even in cases where someone is found guilty, the Supreme Court does not imprison the winner. The judges who granted him bail ought to consider the potential misuse or application of their rulings.”
