Sonakshi Sinha Shares Cryptic Post on Kindness and Tolerance Amid Rift with Luv Sinha: ‘Keep Your Voice Shut…’

Actress Sonakshi Sinha took to social media today to emphasize the importance of kindness and inclusivity. In a series of Instagram stories, the Bollywood star highlighted the need for tolerance and understanding in an increasingly insular world. Her posts come in the wake of a recent controversy involving her brother, Luv Sinha, and her father-in-law, Iqbal Ratansi.

Sonakshi’s messages, under the title “Things they should teach in school,” read: “How to know when to keep voice down or completely shut (Airplanes, movie theatres). How to know when you don’t get what you want. To instil a deep concern for the environment. To live and let live, literally and metaphorically.” She further stressed, “The utter and total importance of kindness and inclusiveness in a rapidly insular world. To know that contrary opinions to yours can exist, and they do. And to be a more tolerant young human being.”

These heartfelt posts by Sonakshi come shortly after Luv Sinha shared—and subsequently deleted—a controversial post on X (formerly Twitter) about Zaheer Iqbal’s father, Iqbal Ratansi. Luv’s post included an excerpt from an article referencing Ratansi’s alleged political connections and past activities in Dubai, raising eyebrows and sparking debates.

The deleted excerpt read: “With carefully curated news stories about his family business, nobody tread grey areas like the groom’s father’s proximity to a politician whose ED enquiries had vanished in the ‘washing machine’. Nor was there a whiff of the groom’s father’s stint in Dubai….”

Adding to the controversy, Luv commented, “The reasons are very clear as to why I didn’t attend, and would not associate with some people no matter what. I’m glad a member of the media did their research instead of relying on creative stories being put out by a PR team.” Although Luv’s post has since been removed, his follow-up clarification remains: “The quote that is being incorrectly attributed to me is not my statement, and was written in an article by a senior journalist. The matter is now closed, and I will not be commenting on it any further.”

The tension follows the recent marriage of Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal, who tied the knot on June 23 after seven years of courtship. The couple’s intimate registered marriage was followed by a grand reception attended by numerous Bollywood celebrities, including Salman Khan, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Kajol, Tabu, Huma Qureshi, Aditi Rao Hydari, and many others.
