Congress MP Shashi Tharoor issued a clarification on Wednesday regarding the Veer Savarkar Award in a post on X (formerly Twitter). He said, “I am not going to accept this award. I only learned about it through media reports while I was in Kerala.” The Congress MP added that the organizers announced his name without his consent. Therefore, there is no question of him attending the event in Delhi.
