A viral clip from an unreleased episode of India’s Got Latent has surfaced on social media amid the ongoing controversy surrounding the show. The episode, which was never aired due to a Supreme Court ban, featured director-choreographer and YouTuber Farah Khan, social media personality Uorfi Javed, comedian Tanmay Bhat, and rapper KRSNA as panelists.
In the widely circulated clip, comedian and show host Samay Raina is seen greeting the panelists as they take the stage. While he shakes hands and hugs Tanmay, KRSNA, and Uorfi, he suddenly bows down to touch Farah Khan’s feet as a mark of respect. In her signature playful style, Farah stops him and jokingly gestures as if to slap him. Another viral image from the episode shows the panelists seated while Raina animatedly interacts with the audience.
The Supreme Court on Tuesday barred YouTuber and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia, India’s Got Latent host Samay Raina, and Apoorva Makhija, known as The Rebel Kid, from airing any episodes of the show until further notice. The apex court’s order came while hearing a plea filed by Ranveer Allahbadia to club multiple FIRs lodged against him across various states, including Maharashtra and Assam. The FIRs stem from his controversial remarks about ‘parental sex’ made during an episode of Samay Raina’s YouTube show.
As a result of the court’s order, all episodes of India’s Got Latent, including members-only content, have been taken down from YouTube.
This is not the first controversy surrounding the show. In December 2024, Uorfi Javed had walked out of India’s Got Latent after a contestant made derogatory remarks about her. Addressing the incident on Instagram, Javed wrote, “I think I missed the memo; nowadays, people think it’s cool to abuse someone or just slut-shame them for some views. I’m sorry, but I’m not okay with anyone abusing me or making assumptions about my body count. All this for what? For two minutes of fame?”
She also alleged that the contestant who insulted her was not joking but got visibly angry when she questioned him about faking a disability.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court bench has directed Ranveer Allahbadia to cooperate with the ongoing investigations related to the FIRs lodged against him in Maharashtra and Assam. Further hearings on the matter are expected to take place in the coming weeks as the court deliberates on the future of India’s Got Latent and its associated content creators.
As the controversy unfolds, the show’s fate remains uncertain, with fans and industry insiders keenly watching for further legal and social media developments.
