Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is once again facing heightened security concerns following a recent threat call made to Mumbai’s traffic police control room. The caller mentioned both “Salman Khan and Lawrence Bishnoi,” issuing a direct warning against the actor. In response, Mumbai Police have launched an investigation to trace the call and ensure Khan’s protection, as this latest incident adds to the ongoing concerns surrounding his safety.

Salman Khan has been repeatedly threatened due to his alleged involvement in the 1998 blackbuck poaching case, which sparked outrage among the Bishnoi community. The blackbuck, considered sacred by the community, became a point of contention when Khan was accused of killing two of the animals during the filming of Hum Saath Saath Hain. Since then, gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, with ties to the Bishnoi community, has demanded a public apology from the actor, warning of severe consequences for both Salman Khan and his father, Salim Khan, should he fail to comply.

Meanwhile, the threats are not limited to Salman Khan alone. Fellow Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan also reportedly received a threat call recently, with a ransom of Rs 50 lakh demanded. According to sources, the call came from Faizan, a resident of Raipur, Chhattisgarh, prompting Mumbai Police to dispatch a team to Raipur for further investigation.

The threats against Salman and Shah Rukh Khan come only weeks after the high-profile murder of political figure Baba Siddique, a case for which an alleged member of Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang has claimed responsibility. The same statement issued following Siddique’s death included an ominous threat directed toward Salman Khan, leading authorities to enhance his security measures. Police have since stationed an escort vehicle to accompany Khan’s car, while Special Reserve Police Force (SRPF) personnel guard his residences in Bandra and Panvel.
