Earlier this month, an attempted burglary at their residence in Bandra, Mumbai, took a dangerous turn when Saif was stabbed multiple times while trying to protect his family. He suffered six serious stab wounds and was rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery.
Though Saif made a remarkable recovery and returned home just five days later, the incident has understandably shaken the family, as well as the residents of their upscale neighborhood. In an official statement shared on her Instagram, Kareena expressed the impact of the situation, emphasizing how the constant presence of paparazzi has become a serious safety concern. The statement read, “While we appreciate the concern and support, the constant scrutiny and attention are not only overwhelming but also pose a significant risk to our safety.”
As the family processes this traumatic experience, they have decided to take extra precautions for their security. Following Saif’s return from the hospital, it was reported that the actor’s safety would now be managed by Ronit Roy’s security agency. The couple has also taken further steps by installing wiring to fence in their balcony. Photos of the work in progress have been circulating on social media, and many online users have expressed understanding and sympathy for their decision. One comment read, “This is just sad….
