For the first time, railway service is being launched between India and Bhutan. Two rail lines have been announced for this purpose. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri stated in a press conference that these rail lines will run from Kokrajhar in Assam to Gelephu in Bhutan, and from Banarhat in West Bengal to Samtse in Bhutan.
