Renowned actor R. Madhavan recently opened up about guiding his son, Vedaant Madhavan, who has made a mark as a freestyle swimmer with several international accolades. The young athlete has an impressive track record, including five gold medals at the Malaysian Open, a gold and silver at the Danish Open, and a bronze at both the Latvian and Thailand Open. He also secured a commendable fifth-place finish at the Commonwealth Youth Games.
In an interview with Miss Malini, Madhavan expressed his pride in his son’s achievements while also emphasizing the privileges and responsibilities that come with being a celebrity’s child. “It feels really proud when common people come up and say we like your work but we are so proud of you because of Vedaant,” said Madhavan. However, he cautioned his son about the scrutiny that comes with fame.
“You know your life, unfortunately or fortunately, is going to be privileged because you’re my son,” he told Vedaant. Madhavan also advised him to be cautious about his public image. “You can’t be seen with your shirt off and sleeping in any bed because one photograph of you in that kind of a pose is national news,” he recalled warning him. “You can’t afford to be as footloose and fancy-free as the rest of your friends. You carry the burden of being recognized and being a model.”
Meanwhile, on the professional front, Madhavan is set to reunite with actress Kangana Ranaut for an upcoming pan-India psychological thriller. The film, directed by Vijay of Thalaivii fame and produced by R. Ravindran, is currently in production. Cinematographer Nirav Shah is also on board for the project.
Kangana Ranaut recently shared a clapperboard photo on Instagram, confirming the film’s progress. The announcement sparked speculation about a possible Tanu Weds Manu 3, but reports confirm that the duo is collaborating on an entirely new project. Sharing her excitement, Kangana captioned the post, “Nothing is more delightful than being on a film set.”
