The Punjab government has extended the school holidays due to increasing cold and dense fog in the state. Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains said that as per the guidelines of the Chief Minister, now all government, private, aided and recognized schools will remain closed till January 13, 2026. This decision taken for the safety of children and staff will be applicable to all schools. Now schools will open on January 14.
