Prime Minister Modi Defends Crackdown on Opposition, Stresses “Neeyat Sahi Toh Kaam Sahi” Principle

In a fervent address at a program in Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi staunchly defended the government’s actions against the opposition, asserting that the recent crackdown by investigating agencies was a testament to the principle of “Neeyat Sahi Toh Kaam Sahi” (Right Intentions Lead to Right Actions).

Taking aim at critics, particularly the opposition, Modi emphasized a stark shift in the nation’s approach towards corruption since 2014. He highlighted the government’s commitment to transparency and accountability, contrasting it with the previous administration’s alleged tolerance of corruption scandals.

The Prime Minister underscored the changing landscape wherein investigating agencies were now actively pursuing cases against the powerful and corrupt, leading to apprehension among those previously considered untouchable. Modi cited instances of cash seizures from the premises of politicians from various parties, including the Congress and the TMC, as evidence of the crackdown’s efficacy.

Asserting a transformation in India’s ethos post-2014, Modi attributed this change to the principle of “Neeyat” (Intention), specifically the intent of putting the nation first. He called upon citizens to align their actions with the broader goals of the country, emphasizing the importance of selflessness and dedication to national progress.

In his impassioned address, the Prime Minister urged individuals to embrace the ethos of “Nation First,” emphasizing that one’s profession should be intertwined with the advancement of the nation’s interests. He concluded with a poignant statement, challenging citizens to ponder whether they merely exist for themselves or strive for the betterment of the nation.
