Purported sexual abuser of multiple women, suspended JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna was questioned by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) after being taken into custody as soon as he arrived at Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru early on Friday.

According to SIT sources, the 33-year-old MP was brought to the CID office for questioning after arriving from Munich.

Additionally, the SIT is thinking about testing Prajwal’s potency.Prajwal and his mother Bhavani Revanna’s bail request will be heard by the Special Court for Public Representatives on Friday.

The Hassan MP had made a final effort to elude arrest before traveling to Bengaluru from Munich and had petitioned the court for bail.

While his mother has requested anticipatory bail in an alleged kidnapping case, Prajwal is facing three cases of sexual abuse.

On April 27, one day after Hassan went to the polls, he had left for Germany. After receiving a request from the SIT through the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), the Interpol earlier issued a “Blue Corner Notice” asking for information on his whereabouts.

The MP, terming the cases against him as false and alleging political conspiracy, had said in a video statement issued earlier this week that he had gone into depression.

Additionally, on May 29, he entered an anticipatory bail plea in the Principal City and Sessions Court for Elected Representatives, causing the SIT to receive notice to file objections. On Friday, the hearing was rescheduled.

Before the April 26 Lok Sabha elections in Hassan, several pen drives purportedly carrying explicit videos of Prajwal surfaced there. This is when the cases of sexual abuse were discovered. In response to the accusations, Prajwal Revanna has been suspended by the JD(S).
