PM Modi kickstarts Lok Sabha campaign with election rally in UP’s Bulandshahr today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is preparing for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, with the first electoral rally set for January 25 in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate and dedicate a plethora of development projects worth over ₹19,100 crore on Thursday in Bulandshahr district of Uttar Pradesh before heading to Jaipur to welcome French President Emmanuel Macron, the chief guest for the Republic Day celebrations.

The Bulandshahr rally, which comes a few days after the Ayodhya Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha Samaroh on January 22, will signal the start of the 2024 Lok Sabha election campaign.
Leaders of the BJP and party workers in western Uttar Pradesh are making extensive preparations in anticipation of a sizable crowd.

During the first leg of his journey, Prime Minister Modi will launch the 173 km long double line electrified section on the Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC).This section boasts a one-kilometre-long double-line rail tunnel with high-rise electrification, a first of its kind in the world. Besides, many road highways will be inaugurated which will be a significant boost to the transport sector. Prime Minister Modi will then dedicate the Tundla-Gawaria Pipeline by Indian Oil, a ₹700 crore project covering 255 km, designed to transport petroleum products efficiently.

In western Uttar Pradesh, the BJP currently controls eight of the fourteen seats, despite losses in six of those seats in 2019. According to reports, Prime Minister Modi is preparing to flip the results in these seats come election time in 2024. Beginning in Bulandshahr, the campaign seeks to establish a connection with voters and supporters in previously contested areas by spreading the mantra of victory.
