Part Of Imran Khan’s House Turned Into Jail For Wife To Serve 14-Yr Term

Wife of former Pak Prime Minister Imran Khan, Bushra Bibi, who was given a 14-year sentence in the Toshakhana reference case, has been transferred to Imran Khan’s Bani Gala home in Islamabad. It has been designated as a sub-jail, according to ARY News.
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) team took the former first lady into custody after she willingly turned herself in before the accountability court in Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail. In a notification, the Chief Commissioner of Islamabad declared that Bushra Bibi, the prisoner, will live in a sub-jail in Bani Gala until further orders.

“The Chief Commissioner, Islamabad Capital Territory is pleased to declare the residence of convict Bushra Bibi (Residential Compound, Khan House Banigala, Mohra Noor, Islamabad) as Sub-Jail till further orders,” stated the notification.

Jail staff will be stationed inside Bani Gala, while Islamabad Police personnel will stay outside Imran Khan’s home.

In the Toshakhana case, an accountability court sentenced Imran Khan and his wife to 14 years in prison.

Khan was sentenced to ten years in prison and barred from holding any public office for the following ten years by the court. A PKR 1.573 billion fine was imposed on the couple as part of the verdict.
