Over 40 children were injured when a Haryana Roadways bus overturned near Naulta village in Pinjore on Monday. The exact number of injured students is yet to be confirmed. The injured were immediately transported to the government hospital in Pinjore for treatment.
Preliminary reports suggest that the accident was caused by overspeeding, although the exact cause has not been determined. Following the accident, the bus driver fled the scene, while the injured conductor was taken to the hospital for medical attention.
In response to the incident, Haryana Roadways has suspended both the driver and the conductor of the bus involved in the accident. “Some school children are among those injured in the accident involving a Haryana Roadways bus,” confirmed a police official from Kalka. The official also stated that efforts are underway to gather full details regarding the number of school children injured.
This incident follows another accident on Friday in Hisar, where a school bus carrying 40 students rammed into several vehicles on the Hisar-Delhi National Highway. The collision, which reportedly occurred due to brake failure, left a biker critically injured.
