The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the revised dates for the University Grants Commission-National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET) June 2024 session exam. According to the official statement released on Friday, the UGC-NET exam will now take place between August 21 and September 4, 2024.
In addition, the NTA has provided updates on other key examinations. The National Common Entrance Test (NCET) 2024 is scheduled for July 10, 2024, while the Joint CSIR-UGC NET will be conducted from July 25 to 27, 2024. All three exams will be administered as computer-based tests (CBT), marking a shift from the previous pen-and-paper format for the UGC-NET June 2024 Cycle.
The decision to transition the UGC-NET exam to CBT mode aligns with the NTA’s efforts to enhance the security and efficiency of the examination process. This change comes after the June shift exam, initially held on June 18, saw participation from over 9 lakh candidates. However, the Ministry of Education canceled the exam the following day due to concerns about the integrity of the process after an alleged paper leak.
The All India Ayush Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET) 2024 will proceed as originally planned on July 6, 2024.
