Noida Student Dies By Suicide Within Hours Of Taking Class XII Board Exam

Within hours of taking the board exam on Thursday, a Class 12 student allegedly leaped from the 22nd floor of a building at a group housing society in Noida Extension, killing himself, according to police.
The police stated that the student, who is believed to be around 19 years old, had failed the exam the previous year as well, though the reason for the drastic step is not confirmed yet. The student’s death at the Mahagun Mywoods society was reported to the officials of the local Bisrakh police station at approximately 4:20 PM today. According to a police spokesperson, “forensic experts were also dispatched to the scene along with the police team”.

“The student’s parents were also present, and they informed the authorities that their son had left to take the English Core exam for Class 12 today and had returned home. When he got home, he went to the building’s 22nd-floor terrace to sit. He failed the Class 12 exam last year as well, the family told the police, according to the spokesperson.

The police added that more legal actions were being taken in this case.
